Credit Analyst (Malaysia/Singapore)

  • Serve as principal advisor to CEO and management team on all issues associated with lending strategies and credit risk management.
  • Report directly to the Head of Lending management and built a team of Unsecured Lending credit analysts to closely monitor Unsecured Portfolios performance and implement actions to optimize risk-reward outcome.
  • To design and implement unsecured portfolio management strategies that will enable business across the unsecured portfolio to control lending risk, deliver sustainable growth and meet customer needs.

Frontend Developer


We're looking for highly motivated, self-starting, world-class frontend developers to build out our app ecosystem. About the job As an early hire, you'll have significant input into how we build our apps in the future. You'll be involved in updating, augmenting and refactoring customer-facing mobile apps relied on by our users to provide a seamless and efficient payment service. You'll also be involved in building internal apps and backend systems essential to running our risk, fraud, and financial departments among others. Our apps are built native in Java and Kotlin on Android, in Swift and Objective-C on iOS, and with angular and typescript on web. The backend is Java 8 on Kubernetes. We aren't religious about our tools and we'll readily adopt new techniques if they can help produce a more effective product. To be successful

Backend Developer


We are looking for highly motivated, self-starting, world-class backend developers to take a leading role in engineering our data processing and back-office systems. About the job

As an early hire, you’ll have significant input into the direction of our backend development.

You’ll be involved in projects to:

  • Code greenfield solutions on customer-facing and backend systems.
  • Add new features to existing code.
  • Refactor and update our systems for improved technology use and efficiency.
  • Expand and architect systems to work effectively across widely separated compute and storage clusters.

You’ll be interacting with product development, risk, fraud, and systems to keep our products up to date, secure and effective.

Our technology stack is based on Java 8 with Spring on the backend, AngularJS, Java/Kotlin, and Swift/Objective-C on the frontend/app. We run on Kubernetes and automate as much as we can.

System-Network Engineer


A motivated and capable Network/System engineer to sit alongside our team in Kuala Lumpur.   • Be primarily responsible for installing, maintaining, upgrading, monitoring, and managing the long-term life-cycle of all installed systems and infrastructure. Examples of such systems include, but are not limited to, server hardware and software, storage area networks, virtual server environments, data backup systems, Ethernet networks including wired and wireless, and phone systems. Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Monitor system alerts, work queues, backups, and recovery activities

Head of Operations (Thailand)


About the job

  • Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer of BigPay, you will be a key driver in successfully launching and growing BigPay Thailand; based on group strategy and guidelines given to you.
  • You will assist with the operational setup such as company registration, setting up the banking and payment infrastructure, and managing risk, customer service, and other operational processes and procedures to comply with BOT and AMLO regulations.

Disputes Analyst


Disputes analysts play a critical role and must be highly detail oriented. Analysts must ensure that disputes representments and documentation sent to payment processors on behalf of our clients are complete and without error. Analysts are expected to work efficiently to meet goals, cross train in other areas of the business, and provide exceptional support to our clients. About the job

  • Undertaking the investigation and analysis of cardholder disputed transactions.
  • Identifying possible chargeback or compliance failures and respond to dispute cases as appropriate in a timely manner to meet prescribed timeframes.
  • Monitoring and acting on agreed chargeback processes through to completion.
  • Analysing and respond to incoming chargebacks.
  • Maintaining appropriate system notes for audit and quality control.
  • Liaising with merchants & other business functions to effectively investigate disputes.
  • Regular and accurate update of management information.
  • User acceptance and pavement testing of chargebacks/ representments for new programs.
  • Ad-hoc investigations and project work as required Input into ongoing process improvements.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of numerous operating systems (i.e. banking, credit/debit processing system, fraud monitoring software, web and PC software applications, etc) and industry regulations (i.e. MasterCard, VISA, compliance and legal entities, etc).
  • Process and perform adjustments for customer disputes using internal systems. The process requires ongoing analysis, review and understanding of rules as set forth by the card associations and regulators.
  • Review reports for possible fraudulent activity and proactively contact customers and management regarding suspicious activity to minimize losses and customer impact. Complete incident reports in accordance with internal procedures and current regulations.
  • Perform security-related functions including: restricting accounts, retrieving support documentation, replacing accounts, monitoring/transferring account activity, reviewing customer correspondence and reporting activity to card associations.
  • Keep current on local and international industry fraud trends and notify management and personnel as deemed necessary.
  • Keep current on MasterCard/VISA and Processor rules and procedures.

Compliance Executive


About the job

  • Assist Compliance Officer for various functions such as compliance monitoring, compliance review and monitoring of regulatory framework.
  • Assist in conducting Quality Assurance review of various business functions in the company particularly on Customer Due Diligence (CDD), transactions monitoring and E-KYC solutions.
  • Assist in conducting due diligence of 3rd party service provider on an ongoing basis.
  • Assist in reviewing and collating information required based on Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA) request.
  • Assist in reviewing Internal Suspicious Transactions Report (iSTR) and to prepare relevant disposition on the recommended outcome of the iSTR.
  • Assist to review business practices’ to ensure compliance to the relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Assist in preparing slides and organising training within the company.

To be successful

  • A candidate with at least a Bachelor's Degree, Degree in Finance/Banking/Accounting or equivalent.
  • Fresh graduates are encourage to apply
  • Working experience in auditing, banking or financial institution with specialization in compliance or legal risk is an added advantage.
  • Good written and oral communication skills and ability to interact effectively with people at different levels.

Fraud Data Analyst


We're hiring Fraud Data Analyst. The position reports to the Fraud Lead. About the job

  • Develop new risk strategies and rules, and deliver actionable insights to analyse large and complex data sets to investigate potential money laundering/fraud patterns
  • Analyse fraud trends and institute appropriate proactive actions to control fraud losses taking into consideration risk versus customer impact
  • Keep current on fraud trends for the payment industry
  • Deliver periodic reports to management, networks and regulators
  • Act as subject matter expert on transaction monitoring tools with a strong knowledge of the platforms, rule design capabilities and functionalities

To be successful
  • Have a considerable knowledge and experience (3+ years) in payments fraud
  • Have a proven experience in data analysis and programming languages
  • Have a strong understanding of the payment technology industry
  • Be customer focused with a passion to work closely with other internal stakeholders and teams
  • Be results oriented with strong influencing skills and is comfortable working in a fast-paced ambiguous environment while prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Demonstrate aptitude to think creatively to identify new ways to approach common risk and data security problems
